Bill West, `75, Management, is the new president and CEO of The Bank of Tampa. He follows in the footsteps of Jerry Divers, the only person who had held those jobs since the current ownership assumed control of the venerable Tampa bank in 1984. The move is designed to ensure the bank has local management and ownership for the long term, said West, who previously was executive V.P. West, 56 years old and a 15-year veteran of Bank of Tampa, has been gradually assuming more duties in preparation for the change, which Divers first indicated was in the works in 2006. |
