Clay & Christi Hildebrand Find Success in Coweta County Schools

Christi (Williams) Hildebrand, `98, is currently the school improvement assistant principal at Evans Middle School and will now be the coordinator of testing and school improvement for the entire Coweta County School System.

Christi began teaching in Florida schools in 1998, as a 1st grade teacher at Philip Shore Magnet School. Later, she was a technology resource teacher at Dunbar Technology Magnet School and also served as a national staff development consultant for International Learning Systems.

Hildebrand came to Coweta County’s Smokey Road Middle School as a Title I coordinator and was named as an assistant principal at Lee Middle School in 2006 before becoming Evan’s school improvement specialist last year. Hildebrand earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida in 1998, and her Masters of Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in 2001.

Christi’s husband, Clay Hildebrand,`97,was one of 10 finalists for Georgia’s 2009 Teacher of the Year Award. He is the Smokey Road Middle School Teacher of the Year, as well as the Coweta County Teacher of the Year. He teaches 6th grade math.
